I actually don’t like this public holiday I am supposed to be having today. Yes thats a harsh statement but couldn’t they have made it tomorrow instead?  Its like broke week i.e. the last week in fact day of my month before I get paid. Its like that week where you find entertainment within the four walls of your bedroom, your diet consists of none other than wholewheat bread and peanut butter and a glass of ice water to go with that.

Then you see all these ads out there for party this and party that then I wonder, am I the only broke person out there? Is everyone not saving and using all their salary? Are people just lucky to have rich parents and still be living off them and therefore have their salaries to themselves? Like seriously, where is everyone getting money at this time of the month?

I’m not starved yet but i do wish I had a little more to play with – the rising increases in the prices of food in Cape Town (thats all I can speak for) is making us all suffer – well me suffer! I am a vegetarian and one would think that its cheaper to not eat meat… I have news for you.

Vegetarians wanna eat organic vegetables that I think could cost more than Woolworths these days. Its not cheap to manually milk a cows teat you know. Its not cheap to water the garden on your own with a hose pipe and throw old vegetable skins over your growing veg. Organic foods are just way too expensive around here.

For thos who eat soya products like Frys , I am beginning to wonder if its soya in there or real meat? I remember paying around R17 for the veggie hot dogs and I think the price now between R19 and R22.

I have to eat food, so i will naturally fork out the cost to cover it regardless. Honestly, how does some people afford to get overweight? Okay okay I might have just opened up a whole other can of worms there but still – I am referring to affording as in cost here and don’t even think that there are other factors that come to the fall here cause I went through shit but never allowed my shit to gain hold of my weight. So still I ask that question “how does some people afford to get overweight?”

I think at this rate, its going to be cheaper for me just to just stay home, work from home, have no friends, no family, no car, no phone and just eat and pay for electricity, water, rent. No DSTV just internet maybe. No land line just a cellphone? Yaw!

Anyways…just another bitch session courtesy of yours truly…tomorrow is pay day and then cycle leading towards broke-ness starts again… peace!
