Just when you thought traffic is becoming a breeze in the mornings, you are normally hit with that one Monday morning, where everything is just pure chaos, and naturally you would be late for work on that one day and happen to have an important business meeting scheduled.
So whilst browsing the South African Department of Education website, I found the school term dates for 2009 which I thought might be handy to all. Yes traffic is a mission when school reopens (if you never knew the reason why it just suddenly got heavy at certain times of the year).
The dates I found which are most important, are usually the start to the new term and listed below:
Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Northern Cape and Western Cape
- 21 January (Wednesday)
- 15 April (Wednesday)
- 20 July (Monday)
- 05 October (Monday)
Free State, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, North West Province and Northern Province
- 14 January (Wednesday)
- 15 April (Wednesday)
- 20 July (Monday)
- 05 October (Monday)
