If you ever wanted to withdraw cash from an ATM and in response you get a “insufficient funds” reply… read furtherHow come the bank is able to tell me that I have insufficient funds and then end the transaction (THAT I PAID FOR) ; and then I obviously would want to see how much I actually have in the bank so I insert my card again; (ANOTHER CHARGE). So now that I know how much I have guess what? a further transaction charge to withdraw that amount!
Three transaction charges later I am presented with the notes I wanted initially but why?
How come a bank teller is programmed to tell a user that “we only have X amount of money” and instead you wanted just R10 more? How is it able to be programmed in such a way that it knows how much money it has and that it can only give me X amount? but it cant do the same for me? How come it can’t rather say ” you only have X amount left in the bank, would you like to withdraw X amount instead?” of saying “insufficient funds” and spitting out your card?
I am sick of transaction charges; sick of this bank; sick of dumb services they offer that is to the benefit of the company. . . I’m not feeling the togetherness with them today, most likely still tomorrow…
